Video Compliments of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
This star is 10 times the size of our Sun. It is spinning so fast it is bulging at the center into an orange pumpkin-like star. It is producing intense x-rays during its spin and is thought to be the result of merging of 2 stars that were orbiting each other, drawing closer and closer to each other and spinning faster as they got closer.
Finally the 2 stars merged into one large spinning monster star. This merging could take about 100 million years to complete. This merging of stars could be the ultimate end for many binary systems where a pair of stars orbit around each other.
