NASA is planning a news conference tomorrow Feb. 22, 2017 and will provide details on their new discovery. Is it related to the planet Kelper 186f, the 1st planet discovered by the Kepler Space Telescope Team to be similar to Earth and orbiting a star within the habitable zone. It is located around Cygnus 3, an M-red dwarf star and receives less energy than Earth. M red dwarfs comprise about 70% of all stars so they are very common. We can only speculate on the big NASA announcement, so we'll just have to wait until tomorrow. The discovery of Kepler 186f was accomplished by the Kepler Space Telescope which focuses on only a small portion of the entire sky. Maddalena Environmental Inc. Al Maddalena |
