Recent observations in the huge Pacific Ocean indicates an enormous volume of plastic floating in the currents of the Pacific in an endless circle and getting larger. The weight of plastic waste floating in the Pacific is estimated to exceed the weight of the fish present. There is no doubt that this plastic will get into the biological food chain of the Pacific Ocean and will have huge implications in the biosphere. It is essential that humans increase their recycling efforts and eliminate ocean dumping of garbage. Plastic in the Pacific Maddalena Environmental Inc. Al Maddalena |
