 Researchers from the UK have discovered a method of converting nuclear waste into diamonds capable of producing low level electricity for up to 5,000 years!
This is done by heating graphite coatings of radioactive waste. The gas given off is pure carbon. The gas is collected and is converted to diamonds using a high-pressure chemical reaction.
